Meet our Apprentices – Simon and Gary

Over the next few weeks we’ll be introducing you to our Apprentices so you can learn a little more about them and get to know them better.

First of all, meet our Apprentices Simon and Gary…

Simon Penney
      Apprentice Simon
“In my eyes I believe that an apprenticeship is one of the best ways in which any young person can get their foot on the first step of the career ladder and begin picking up heaps and heaps of handy experience and knowledge. University isn’t for everyone and I knew that an apprenticeship was the best route for me as I was unsure of what I wanted to do when I left college.
I enjoy tunnelling in and out of databases and archives, inputting information that the business requires to operate as well as seeing how it all works. I enjoy working in a friendly office environment picking up lots of little and big projects and seeing them progress into the business itself. When not completing my apprenticeship I enjoy relaxing reading tech blogs, playing PlayStation 4 and socialising with friends. I recently joined the gym and I’m currently structuring a gym timetable and diet plan to aid me in getting fit and healthy”.
Gary Temple
Gary1 “I wanted to do an apprenticeship because I have more of a “hands on” approach to my learning. I knew that Clarion offered an apprenticeship that was exactly what I was looking for; working on site every day and learning from our installation engineers and working directly alongside customers is definitely the best way for me to learn and ask any questions I may have.
I really enjoy working for Clarion as I get to travel around the country to different places, meet new customers and people and really understand the types of industries we work in. I hope that with my apprenticeship it will eventually lead me to managing my own installation jobs across the country for Clarion so that I can become a professional in my field. The aim is to work my way up and become a valued engineer to the business. In my spare time I enjoy fishing, swimming, football and socialising with my friends”.
