Our Local Community

The local community where we live and work is important to us. How we look after our people and how we integrate into the community can make a positive difference to our work ethics and our approach to best practice in general.

Youth Football

As well as sponsoring Brendon Bees, Chris Billinge, our Managing Director volunteers five hours per week to coach one of the children's teams, whatever the weather! The under 11's team have been the League Runners up and Divisional Plate Cup Winners over the past few years. Prior seasons have been a great for the Club also, where the under 12s were once again league runners up in the Tameside football league. Come on Bees!

Tameside and Oldham

Clarion is an integral part of the local community and gives preference to local residents for a range of jobs. Over 50% of our work force has been employed for over five years. They offer a strong knowledge base and deliver a faster and more effective service to our clients. A low staff turnover has proven to be an added value to our customers who enjoy the benefit of dealing with familiar people, who proudly put their name to a job and don't hesitate devoting their personal energy to a task.

Tameside Business

Clarion also ensures that preference is given to a local business when sourcing goods or professional advice. Clarion works with several local professionals from accounting to waste removal services, which have been identified through our open procurement system. It helps greatly when the biggest UK distributor of security equipment is within walking distance too!

Clarion has taken on 5 Apprentices who live locally, and are currently helping them through their course and their discovery of the security industry. You can read more about our Apprentices here.

Manchester Girls

Not only do we sponsor and support Brendon Bees Boys football team, we are also sponsors to Manchester Girl's FC football team. All girls are aged between 16 and 18 and at present there are 13 girl's in total that form the squad. They play in the Great Manchester Women’s League and are currently joint second. They are doing all they can to secure the title! They recently completed a climb up Snowdon in order to raise funds for a tournament they will be going to in Demark in July. They are currently playing in the semi-final of the cup – results to follow! Come on Girls!
